Micro-compositions: instruments, labels, titles

Technical plate style visual generator

Compose visuals in a “spec sheet” style: a graphic instrument (constellation, radar, oscilloscope, histogram, orbits, compass…), labels, coordinates, graduated rulers and a big title. Shuffle, lock the elements you like and generate a sheet of 9 consistent variations for a series of posts or a visual identity.

How it works

  1. Click “Shuffle” or press the space bar.
  2. Lock the traits to keep (palette, layout, instrument, name), adjust the complexity and the finish (title, risograph, Japanese).
  3. Export the plate or a sheet of 9 variations as PNG, SVG or animated MP4.

What you can do

  • 8 instruments and 4 layouts
  • 8 palettes and a custom palette
  • Risograph effect and Japanese text
  • Sheet of 9 variations in one click
  • Shuffle history
  • Graphic elements: circles, squares, hatching, crosses

FAQ

What are the padlocks for?

A locked trait (palette, layout, instrument or name) is kept on the following shuffles: you explore variations without losing what you like.

Can I create a consistent series?

Yes: turn on “Sheet of 9 variations”. Locked traits are shared by the whole sheet.

Can the text be edited?

In the exported SVG, all the text stays editable in Illustrator.
