In short
| Device | Browser | Menu to open | Option to tap |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone, iPad | Safari (recommended) | Share button | “Add to Home Screen” |
| Android | Chrome | Menu (three dots) | “Install app” or “Add to Home screen” |
The idea is the same everywhere: you open pixisgood in your browser, ask the browser to add the site to your home screen, and an icon appears next to your apps. One tap and the site opens full screen, with no address bar, like an app. Nothing to download from a store and nothing to update: you always get the latest version of the site.
On iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- Open pixisgood.com in Safari. If you tapped a link inside Instagram, LinkedIn or another app, the site opens in a built-in browser that does not offer this option: tap the compass icon or the three dots, then “Open in Safari”.
- Tap the Share button: the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen on iPhone and at the top on iPad. Depending on the iOS version, it may be hidden behind a “⋯” button.
- Scroll down the list and tap “Add to Home Screen”.
- Keep the name “pixisgood” (or change it), leave “Open as Web App” on if the option is shown, then tap “Add” at the top right.
The icon lands on the last page of your home screen: you can move it like any other app. Other iPhone browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) also offer “Add to Home Screen” in their Share menu on recent versions of iOS.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open pixisgood.com in Chrome.
- Tap the “⋮” menu (three dots) at the top right.
- Tap “Install app” if it appears, otherwise “Add to Home screen”. Both give you an icon; the first opens the site full screen, like an app.
- Keep the suggested name, then tap “Install” or “Add”. Android may let you place the icon yourself: press and hold it, then drop it where you like, or tap “Add automatically”.
Other Android browsers. Samsung Internet: “≡” menu, then “Add page to” and “Home screen”. Firefox: “⋮” menu, then “Install”. Edge: “⋯” menu, then “Add to phone”.
Labels vary slightly between versions and phone brands, but the path stays the same: browser menu, then “home screen” or “install”.
And on a computer?
- Chrome and Edge: a small install icon appears at the right of the address bar; otherwise, “⋮” menu, then “Save and share” or “Apps”, then “Install pixisgood”.
- Safari on Mac: “File” menu, then “Add to Dock”.
What changes, and what doesn’t
- It is the website, not a separate app. An Internet connection is still needed, and your settings stay stored in that browser. The images you import never leave your device.
- No updates to run: the shortcut always opens the online version.
- Almost no storage is used on the phone.
- To remove it: press and hold the icon, then “Remove App” (iPhone) or “Uninstall” / “Remove” (Android).
Once the icon is in place, pixisgood is one tap away: handy for transforming a photo you just took, or preparing a story between two appointments.
